There was speculation on social media last night that Wigan schools would be closed. The Wigan council has put a statement on their website last night reassuring parents that all Wigan schools would be open and there was no intelligence about threats to them.
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN Following the consultation process over this academic year it has now been agreed that the Sixth Form at Atherton Community School of Hamilton Street, Atherton, Manchester, will now close in July 2017.
