Humanities at ACS covers the study of Geography, History and Religious Education.

In humanities students will increase their knowledge of the world they live in and how it was shaped. Students will develop an understanding of wide ranging, subject specific vocabulary and skills such as analysis and evaluation.

Humanities aims to build the character and resilience of students through the study of challenging and often controversial ethical, moral and philosophical issues.

Humanities will lead students to be able to articulate their own views of the world they live in and historical issues whilst showing respect for others and their views. Students, with the aid of studying humanities, will leave ACS with a greater cultural capital.
