I would like to take the opportunity to explain some key developments at Atherton Community School in order to give you a sense of the exciting future and prospects that I thoroughly believe the school to have.
As Executive Headteacher I am keen to appoint a talented Head of School who will work with me to develop the school and lead it forward with myself and the talented wider Leadership team. Interviews will be taking place over the coming weeks and I look forward to introducing you to the additional members of the ACS family in the very near future who will join us on our journey of taking the school from strength to strength.
We are really excited to welcome Mr Yates, a local businessman, as our Chair, and Mrs Quinlivan, as our Vice Chair of the Local Academy Board, both of which have been on the Local Academy Board and involved with ACS for some time now. I am sure that, along with the other members of the Local Academy Board that their skills will be a great asset in helping the school develop and grow.
If you would like the opportunity to meet me, ask me any questions or just put a face to the name, I have set aside some time for informal drop in sessions where we can have a chat over a cup of tea.
- Tuesday 8th May 2018 3.30 – 5pm
- Tuesday 15th May 2018 3.30-5pm

I am eager to establish strong communication with both our families and the wider community and would therefore welcome you to share your thoughts and views and help us to grow and develop together, bringing the community firmly back into Atherton Community School. I look forward to meeting you at one of the above drop in sessions.
